The Ohio State University has taken a step toward providing specialized & patient-centered care to adults with autism spectrum disorder through the Center for Autism Services & Transition (CAST), a primary care clinic that caters to young adults who are on the autism spectrum.

After 5 decades of researching how to stop Duchenne muscular dystrophy, the gene therapy created by Dr. Jerry Mendell & Louise Rodino-Klapac was approved by the FDA for children ages 4-5. It’s the first gene therapy treatment the FDA has approved for Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is a national leader in performing robotic-assisted pancreaticoduodenectomy, a surgery for patients with pancreatic cancer. Dr. Mary Dillhoff uses a da Vinci robot to perform with precision and reduce the risk of infection.

The Ohio State University’s Pelotonia Research Center opened in May, creating opportunities for collaboration across multiple colleges & disciplines. The center features laboratory neighborhoods, where researchers & staff will join forces to develop new techniques & therapies.
