The DATR recently planted over 600 Trees & 1800 strong hawthorn hedgerows. The trees were provided by the Ministry of Justice / Additional trees & the hedgerows by Tivoli-Vivo.

The project will result in 150 tons of carbon credits (over 50 yrs).

Rehoming Success Story:

We have had an update from Ex-MWD Pero's new owner.

Pero is now 8 yrs old & was rehomed in October 2023.

He is loving with his new family in Wolverhampton (on the border of South Staffordshire).

Brilliant news!

Four Reversists from 1st MWDR, 101 Squadron, have successfully completed Military Working Dog (MWD) handler training.

They now look forward to their roles, as qualified MWD handlers within the wider RAVC.

DATR’s Capt Payne, LCpl Johnson & LCpl Burns have completed the Spean Bridge – Achnacarry Speed March in support of the Royal Marines Charity (RMA).

The challenge consisted of running 6.3 miles in the Scottish Highlands carrying 16.5 kgs.

RAVC Initial Trade Training Course 2303 have successfully completed their Final Exercise.

During the Final Exercise, all of the student's knowledge & skills, taught throughout the course were tested.

As they now focus on route & venue searches; search difficulty quickly increases.
