After 15 playoff games behind the mic over 15 days, my HS basketball season is done. Memorable moments include the Chippewa girls' impossible 3 at the buzzer, a terrific effort in defeat by Triway's Drew Bishko, and Tallmadge's upset win in the wheelchair final. Fun times!

After defeating Smithville 33-32, the Chipps will face Triway on Wednesday in the regional hosted by Stow-Munroe Falls HS.

Under new ownership, WQKT radio likely will continue to broadcast Wayne County HS sports and the College of Wooster Fighting Scots, while dropping from the networks of the Buckeyes, Browns, Cavs, and Guardians.

As a high school PA announcer who is all for sportsmanship, these NFHS guidelines go too far:
- Don't speak at all when the ball is live (so don't announce who scored a basket)
- Don't announce the number of fouls on a player/team
- Don't 'emphatically' call a 3-pointer
