In art, Class 3 have been using sketching pencils to vary tone in their Egyptian style self-portraits.

5S have been completing an exciting #EarthDay task to design a pizza that is tasty but also lowers global emissions of importing food.

Our school Art exhibition was a real success this afternoon. Children were able to share art based upon the theme of friendship, and view work produced by other classes. Winners will be chosen from each phase, to be entered into an upcoming exhibition in Pontefract Library.

Reception class have had a busy week so far. We found out about how we can look after our environment for Earth Day and we have continued to be amazed by how quickly our caterpillars are changing.

Nursery PM - The afternoon children have really enjoyed baking today. We have made cookies so we had to weigh out all of the ingredients, mix them all together, roll them into cookie shapes then bake them in the oven. We can't wait to eat them tomorrow.

In Geography, 5S have researched all about mountain ranges. They created impressive fact files about their chosen mountain range.

This week Reception have really enjoyed our very own Cannon Hall Farm shop. They have created a ticketing booth, shown each other round the farm and served farm produce in the cafe!

Nursery PM - As scientists we are exploring living and how things grow. We have found some little seeds, planted them in 'the ground' (soil) and now we wait for them to grow. We have also been learning the song 'The Seed Song' to help us remember the process.

Year 3 have been practising throwing and catching in our cricket lessons. We have also been learning how many runs can be scored per ball.

Huge well done to Class 4 on their amazing ukulele performance today! They have all worked so hard to develop their performance skills and did themselves proud today!

Year 5 researched famous Victorians as part of their experience in Writing where our new topic will be to write a biography!
