Trans people are worthy of the same courtesy and dignity as anyone else, no matter who's in the room. It shouldn't take the presence of a grieving mother to remind politicians that they're talking about real people.

I pray this #PMQs is a wake up call for certain politicians and pundits: that their transphobic jibes and headlines are wrong *everyday*.

It shouldn’t take the murder of a trans child, or the presence of her mother, to remind them that culture wars have real life consequences.
