The first radio collared elephant of Odisha has recovered fully & is leading a joyful life inside the forest. We are receiving the signals at regular intervals.

Wildlife wing is planning to radio collar problematic elephants in future to track their movements.

The latest tiger estimation of our state shows a growing population and joy for us. At the same time, there is no plan to create any new Tiger Reserves.

Co existence,with regeneration of the corridors is the key. The future is in dispersal of the Similipal source population .

This is Baiga Ho, notorious for poaching.Was Seen in several cameras in Similipal recently. Staff traced him and arrested. Now solid proof to convict him.

For securing Simlipal Tiger Reserve, remote IR cameras have been installed all around for continuous 24x7 monitoring.
