Every year fire and rescue services respond to fires in the countryside that could easily have been prevented. These fires can tie up fire crews for hours, or sometimes days, and cause damage to wildlife habitats. 1/2

If you have children who travel independently to school, make sure they know how to stay safe. If they cycle make sure they have a helmet, if they walk check that they know how to cross the road safely.
