PERC is excited to welcome Daniel Guildenbecher, who specializes in #energeticmaterials detection and combustion. Guildenbecher was previously at Sandia National Laboratories and presented his work at PEMS'23 in June!
Congrats to Eric Williamson who recently finished up his MS in PurdueAeroAstro working with myself and Steve Son. Some really solid experimental work, which I hope we can share with everyone soon. @purdueme is getting a great PhD student this fall.

I'm honored to receive the University Faculty Scholar award from Purdue University. PurdueAeroAstro Purdue Engineering
Joshua Wu uses computational chemistry to simulate chemical reactions and create reaction networks for #energeticmaterials . Participating in AAMP-UP has inspired him to consider graduate school.
Will Strutton chose AAMP-UP because of the program's novel #energeticmaterials research. He works with Prof. Steve Beaudoin on #additivemanufacturing of mock energetic materials.
Ben Roeder, PurdueAeroAstro senior, works with Prof. Song Zhang on detecting and correcting defects in #3Dprinting of #energeticmaterials . He joined AAMP-UP because of the research and networking opportunities.
.PurdueAeroAstro senior Alexander Loney works on characterization and #additivemanufacturing with Prof. Steve Son. His desire to explore research and graduate school led him to AAMP-UP.
Having a blast at the Gordon Research Conferences on Laser Diagnostics catching up with friends and former students! Great talk by SpearrinLab on MHz laser absorption!
Michael Goldberg, Purdue Mechanical Engineering senior, works with Prof. Song Zhang on error detection in #3Dprinting . He chose AAMP-UP because of the connection to U.S. Army DEVCOM Army Research Laboratory employees and the impact his work could make.
Junior PurdueAeroAstro student Kaushik Vudathu works with Prof. Brett Savoie on #energetics modeling. He joined AAMP-UP to experience lab research prior to pursuing graduate studies.
Blake Boyer, a Purdue Mechanical Engineering senior, joined AAMP-UP because of his interest in the #defense industry. During his time with the program, he is testing new devices built through #additivemanufacturing .
.PurdueAeroAstro sophomore Reece Tippery works with Prof. Chelsea Davis on mechanical characterization of polymeric binder materials. He joined the AAMP-UP program because of his interest in exploring academic research.
Ansalma Rodriguez, UT Mech Engineering sophomore, joined AAMP-UP because of her interest in #additivemanufacturing . Following the program, she will conduct research through the Semiconductor Research Corporation (SRC).
Pradyun Srinidhi, a PurdueAeroAstro senior, chose the AAMP-UP summer research program because of his interest in #propulsion . He is now working with Dr. Steve Son on detonation shockwaves.
Stay tuned for the rest of the summer as we highlight students from this year's cohort!
