When this pangolin was rescued from illegal trade and taken to a rehab center, he was dehydrated and timid. After months of careful monitoring, he became active & strong enough to be released💚

Kenya’s Nyekweri Ecosystem is home to the country’s last population of giant pangolins. We issued our largest grant of 2023 to thepangolinproject. This is some of the amazing progress that's been accomplished so far on the long road to recovery for this pangolin species!

So far, 10 communities are involved in this project, and they've already deployed 30 camera traps!
