The first of 17 successful IOT Marine Park grants has now been completed on Christmas Island! 🏝️

Artist 🎨 Gavi Libotte chose the Christmas Island Frigatebird in this mural due to the ecological connections it has with the Marine Park, which provides its feeding habitat.

The whale shark (Rhincondon typus) is the largest fish in our oceans with the biggest recorded individual measuring 18.8m! 😮

We are lucky to see whale sharks in a lot of our marine park networks.

An aerial battle between a white-bellied sea eagle and a juvenile sea eagle🦅 was recently spotted at Booderee National Park 👀😮.

Would you have ever guessed that this flower belongs to the Norfolk Island Palm (Rhopalostylis baueri)? Each of these white flowers will transform into ripe red fruit, which is a favourite food of the Green Parrot.

A little cold weather at the Australian National Botanic Gardens Australian National Botanic Gardens doesn’t stop Grevillea lanigera from putting on a show!

Also known as ‘Woolly Grevillea’, this hardy native sports fine hairs on its leaves and branchlets.

Flowering now in the Rock Garden.
