New amendments to the Rules of the Supreme Court of Canada coming into effect on June 3, 2024. Mostly what I'd call clean-ups and quality-of-life changes, but here's what will have the bigger impacts on anyone with matters before the #SCC :

The CCLA case will be (as far as I recall) the first case dealing with COVID restrictions to get up to the Supreme Court!

A reminder that what has gone up to 66.67% is the capital gains inclusion rate (for capital gains above $250K).

The marginal tax rate high earners will pay on capital gains is at most ~35%.

High earners still keep at least 65% of capital gains. The middle class much more.
