It's #EndangeredSpeciesDay ! ⚠️
💚 One of our most famous and well-loved breeding birds in Wales is the Curlew - but they're also one of the most endangered.
🤳 Please scan this QR code if you see or hear a Curlew between March and July. 👀

1/Yn ogystal â'r gostyngiad ym mhoblogaeth y Gylfinir (-77% yng Nghymru ers 1995) mae adar tir fferm eraill yn dioddef hefyd. Mae'r Bras Melyn wedi gostwng 76% yng Nghymru ac mae bellach wedi'i gofnodi yma ar gyn lleied o sgwariau fel nad yw Breeding Bird Surveys yn medru ei fonitro cystal.
1/ As well as the decline in Curlew (-77% in Wales since 1995) other farmland birds are suffering in the country too. Yellowhammer is down by 76% and is now recorded on so few squares here that Breeding Bird Surveys is less well able to monitor the species. BTO RSPB Science JNCC
Congrats ClientEarth SPEA José A. Alves etc. Your exemplary collaborative flyway conservation action has saved Tagus waterbirds shared with 30+ countries & c350 Important Bird Areas covering 16.7 mill ha & 4 World Heritage Sites according to RSPB Science. #ornithology
Massive victory of PT NGOs including our partner SPEA. No airport in the Tajo estuary, key stop over site for #Birds migration.

Well done to all involved. Well done to PT gov for a wise decision.

💨🫣 72% of farmers are concerned about climate change
🥅0️⃣ 72% also support net zero
Both of these are higher than the general public…
