Last week, I was proud to participate in the Veterans Day laying of the wreath ceremony honoring all Mississippi veterans. I hope everyone takes a moment to thank a veteran for their service whenever the opportunity arises.

I was honored to speak to the Scott County Republican Women last night at the inaugural banquet for their new chapter. Thank you for having me and for all that you do for Mississippi.

I am appalled at the senseless and unprovoked acts of terrorism against Israel. The United States must stand with and faithfully support Israel against the terrorists who are enemies of all free nations.

Today the Supreme Court reasserted the principle that we are all equal in the eyes of the law. College admissions should — and now must — be based on merit—another outstanding ruling on the heels of the anniversary of the Dobbs decision.

Our prayers are with the family of Officer Randy Tyler who gave his life today in the line of duty. He lived a life of service that is an example to us all.

From its beginning, House Bill 1020 has been a sincere effort to help make our capital city safer for our citizens. I applaud Governor Reeves statement today and appreciate him agreeing with the Legislature’s substantial work to improve and invest in Jackson.
