1. This is a positivity event for authors without the pressure of industry participation. We kindly ask agents, editors, & presses not to interact with pitches or request material to keep the mood stress-free!

Hi friends! The results of my poll for moving pitlight were ~54/46% in favor of postponing. HOWEVER, I was looking for a landslide majority that would justify moving it when we're so near the original date. Therefore, we're going to keep pitlight on April 6 this time. More soon!

I discontinued #pitlight last year for multiple reasons. The rising threat of A👁️. The ensuing levels of discourse. But having been observing the community for a while, I feel we need more events that bring us together, celebrate our words, and strengthen our friendships. 🧵

With a heavy heart I'm deciding that I will no longer be hosting #pitlight . The more people share their ideas and loglines, the more likely it is that someone will use them to feed the machine.

Please be wary about how much you share on here, writer friends 💙

lots of bots in the pitlight tag unfortunately, and some of them are stealing mood boards. i recommend blocking the words 'TEMU' 'shopping' and 'cashback' because most of the bots are using them.

Some final reminders:

1) Any author can participate in pitlight. Self pub, trad pub, etc.

2) It's an industry-free pitch style event meant for making friends, finding readers/cps, and spreading positivity

3) This one is for adult & new adult wips, the kidlit one is in August
