In March Jason was admitted with a nasty and very infected strimmer injury. We flushed, cleaned and applied a topical treatment as well as given pain relief, anti-inflammatories and antibiotics. 36 days of care and he is back off to the wild 🫶🦔🐾

Brody here was found out during the daytime a couple of weeks ago, very dehydrated and with an abrasion on one foot. As a nocturnal animal any daytime activity is a cause for concern, if you see one out during the day contact a rescue for urgent advice 🫶

On admission Brody had a little glucose to give him a boost as we provided gentle heat to warm him… safe to say he has a sweet tooth!

So many new faces over the last few days! This little fellow is Brody, very underweight and has a few scrapes as well as a chest infection. Thankfully he is responding well to treatment so far ❤️‍🩹🦔🐾

Mortimer was one of 4 new admissions yesterday, he was trapped in a shed and was very cold and dehydrated on admission. Looking much brighter today thankfully and was tucking into food straight away this evening 😋

Rufus is one of several entrapment cases currently with us. Sadly his feet are sore and inflamed and his claws worn and bleeding from trying to escape He also has pneumonia so has been started on a course of antibiotic and pain relief. Thankfully he seems to be responding well❤️‍🩹

Noah had over 100 ticks removed and his claws clipped as they were very long - an indication that he hadn’t been roaming far or foraging much. Thankfully is responding well to treatment, he was also super cooperative with letting us remove the ticks and sort his claws 💚🦔🐾

As a nocturnal animal any daytime activity is usually a cause for a concern Even if they ‘look bright’ or ‘appear fine’ contact a rescue, as a prey animal they rarely show how unwell they truly are. All calls are triaged and tailored advice provided. Out in the day… don’t delay!

New admission Noah having his very long claws clipped and ticks removed. His long claws suggest he hasn’t been roaming far or foraging much and along with an exceptionally high tick burden can be a sign of underlying issues. He will be further assessed over the coming days 🫶🦔🐾

Noah, our 111th admission this year! An older hog in fairly good condition despite the high tick burden. Over 100 ticks he should be feeling much more comfortable. A few ticks are normal but lots can be indicate underlying problems, he will be closely monitored next few days.

Tommy looking very bright this morning 🫶 He is an older boy who was found out during the daytime. He has a gastro infection and high parasite burden but is responding well to treatment 💚🦔🐾
