It was great to meet with American Astronomical Society (AAS) to talk about all the ways Science Committee Democrats and I can support deep space exploration and women in STEM. Meeting with these amazing scientists was a great reminder, you can wear pink and lead in science (or in office)!

In 2011, NASA Webb Telescope was in serious and imminent danger of cancellation after years of cost/sched growth. It didn't rescue itself.

The community rallied, they called their reps, they wrote letters, they fought back. We know first-hand that this was a *major* reason it was saved

Astronomers! Briefly showing back up on X because this is important. If you are a AAS member, you should have just gotten an action alert. PLEASE DO IT. Congress is negotiating federal spending levels RIGHT NOW for the coming year.
