The ICJ ruling today in the South Africa v Israel matter is a victory for international humanitarian law. Congratulations SA! A solid base has been laid for an immediate ceasefire. Israel cannot persist with its justifications for not heeding the world's call for a ceasefire.

In filing a suit against Israel at the ICJ, South Africa has provided SOLID leadership. Israel has NOW crossed the line and is acting contrary to international law. There is MERIT in the SA suit. Taking a dispute to a court is the core of the RULE OF LAW. Well done SA.

Prof Bhebhe was a truly outstanding academic. A polished mentor. An inspirational leader in academia.His legacy has, at its core, the solid leadership he provided in making the MSU the treasured asset it has become to our country. Indeed a national hero. Go well dear Prof.

This is wrong, horrible and totally unacceptable. The perpetrator must be arrested and tried. I wish Hon Takudzwa Ngadziore, a speedy recovery. We must all work to build a Zimbabwe in which all citizens, whatever their politics, enjoy true freedom.

Today, 25 October, is SADC Anti-Sanctions Day. The political party that I lead, the NCA wants all forms of sanctions against Zimbabwe to be removed. We support, unequivocally, the SADC call for their removal. Count the NCA among those who are calling for an end to sanctions.

Israel is operating outside all the strictures created by international law in respect of self defence. It is committing heinous crimes against humanity. It is not a defence to say that HAMAS is committing similar crimes. Accordingly, Israel must be condemned unequivocally.

Prof Gutto, an exceptionally gifted intellectual with an extraordinary talent. He passionately nurtured us and contributed immensely to the solid reputation that the UZ Law Faculty enjoys today. I am a Gutto product. My condolences to his family, students and colleagues.

I follow with interest the reactions to my 'Thank you' to 5322 who voted for me. I have to say the following: the electorate has no permanent enemies, it has no permanent friends, it has no permanent members. 2028 is not dependent on 2023. NCA is now focussing on winning in 2028.

5322 voted for me in the just ended 2023 Presidential elections. They also voted for the NCA. I hereby thank them all for their support. I very much appreciate that support and will forever respect it. I am very much strengthened in the task of building a strong NCA. Thank you.

I have the greatest of respect to our departed Archbishop Professor Ezekiel Guti,spiritual leader par excellence. Loved and respected by all. Let us all celebrate this rare and outstanding human being while his soul gets a much deserved rest in peace. Go well Baba Guti.
