BREAKING: Sex work has been decriminalised in Qld.

Safety strategies like working together and checking in with a friend will no longer be criminalised.

Sex work will be recognised as REAL WORK.

A huge win for workers and advocates like Respect Inc QLD/ Decrim Qld. CongratsπŸ‘β˜‚οΈ

Countries like Finland provide a universal free hot lunch to every school kid in a public school and that absolutely contributes to the country having one of the best public school systems in the world. Hungry kids find it hard to learn - pretty simple.

But if you think about it $27k isn't that much when compared to the hundreds of billions spent on federal budgets. There is absolutely no reason why the Gov couldn't fund a free school breakfast/hot lunch across the country. Imagine how many lives that would change!

Our free school breakfast program just keeps getting bigger! We're now serving thousands of free meals a week and it couldn't happen without a bunch of amazing volunteers. A few people have asked how this is funded. Short answer: I give up $27k of my wage/entitlements every year.

Today we remember & pay our respects to those we’ve lost & those whose war didn’t end when they returned home.

Lest we forget.

HUGE win for the community, wildlife and wetlands πŸ‘

Both Labor & LNP went to great lengths to get Walker's development across the line.

Qld Labor needs to scrap the Priority Development Area over the site now and commit to fix the ferry terminal with no private development.

The Greens will keep the pressure on Qld Labor to confirm they won’t support any future private development on the site.

We want to see State Gov step in to fix the ferry terminal & protect the wetlands instead - and rule out more secret sweetheart deals for private developers.

While the community's hard work has paid off - the fight to save Toondah is not yet over.

As the Qld State Labor government had already approved the Walker Corp's proposal, it leaves Toondah Harbour open to other development applications in the future.

Huge news! πŸ’š After almost a decade of campaigning by the local community and the Greens, Walker Corporation has withdrawn its application for the Toondah Harbour development.

Since coming to power, Qld Labor has approved 38 new coal mines, with 15 more in the pipeline.

They have no plan to get off gas, and no transition plan for the resources industry or energy workers outside govt-owned stations.

This is not a pro-climate or pro-worker Government.

The PM visited my home town yesterday.

Here he is taking cute photos with one of his gas industry mates just minutes from the reef his policies are killing.

Albanese and Resources Minister King at a photo-op celebrating major gas corporations the day after Labor indefinitely deferred its environmental reforms tells you all you need to know about who Labor is listening to.
