On Thursday the Station Parents Support Group hosted its Coffee Morning at the Link. The Coffee morning aimed to address any queries and concerns parents may have.

The Parents Coffee mornings are held bi-monthly and partners and Line Managers are also encouraged to attend!

RAF Northolt mounted an FD Exercise named EX ST GEORGES CROSS to Malta. The Exercise aimed to develop an understanding of Malta and its ties to the UK It was a blended FD event with sport being incorporated in the form of the Malta Marathon.

Today is National Girls and Women in Sports Day, through clubs like RAF Boxing , women can break barriers, and demonstrate their strength both in and out of the ring, RAF Northolt supports RAF Boxing on station and encourages an inclusive and diverse boxing squad.

A service to mark the closure of “ Windsock Club” RAFA South Harrow social club was held marking almost 72 years of life. Padre Skillen conducted reflecting the long connection between RAF Northolt and RAFA. Participating in the service was the Mayor of Harrow & Sqn Ldr Gibson.

The Christmas Countdown continues at RAF Northolt. A Carol service was held in the Junior Ranks Mess yesterday, washed down with mulled wine and mince pies, and The Link held their very own Christmas today, serving hot drinks and breakfast sandwiches , thoroughly enjoyed by all.

On Friday an ensemble of the Central Band of the Royal Air Force visited Hillingdon Hospital spreading some Christmas joy with a medley of carols. The Band, along with the Station Commander visited the Children’s ward to deliver presents donated by personnel from RAF Northolt.

RAF Northolt’s new Baby Care Room was officially opened this week by the Station Commander. The Station’s Parent Support Group have worked extremely hard over the past year designing an area that offers a warm and friendly environment for mothers and expecting mothers.

Whole Force personnel from RAF Northolt gathered today for a Remembrance service, commemorating the lives of the fallen lost in battle.

A team from RAF Northolt spent the day in London yesterday selling poppies on behalf of The Royal British Legion. It was a fantastic day interacting with members of the public and raising thousands of pounds for a very worthwhile cause. Well done to our amazing volunteers!

On the Anniversary of the late Queen’s death, RAF Northolt paid tribute to Queen Elizabeth II with a Parade & 1 minute silence. Additionally an area of the church was dedicated to the late Queen for private reflection for all personnel.

Station Commander Group Captain Jon Hough arrives as a special guest for the annual Sergeants Mess Dining in Night, arriving in a classic WW2 era Staff car as acknowledgment of Northolt’s connection to its long and prestigious past as an Operating Base for the Battle of Britain.

Last month, RAF Northolt held an Eid-al-Adha reception, hosted by The Armed Forces Muslim Association.

RAF Northolt formally welcomed its new Station Commander last week.

Gp Capt Jon Hough arrives from the RAF’s HQ at High Wycombe and has a background in Defence diplomacy and as a pilot flying the RAF’s Hercules aircraft.

The first RAF Standard of HM The King’s reign was presented to 600 (City of London) Sqn at RAF Northolt. They received the Standard from the Representative Lord Mayor of London, Sir Charles Bowman, accompanied by the Chief of the Air Staff.

RAF Northolt welcomed London Fire Brigade yesterday to conduct a joint exercise with its own RAF Firefighters. The large-scale hose-laying exercise helped secure the interoperability between London Fire Brigade and the RAF firefighters.
