Not true to say there were no battles. The 2nd Battle of Reading was part of the Glorious Revolution and around 50 Irish troops were killed in

Also known as the Battle of Broad Street.

I’ve been speaking to young people like me in Cotham and across the city, who want to live in the area and the city they grew up in, but with the cheapest 1 bed in Cotham on Rightmove being £950 a month and ownership a pipe dream it’s just not affordable. What’s the Greens offer?

Did you know that we have a real chance to elect Tim Starkey as our first Labour Police and Crime Commissioner for the Thames Valley on 2nd May?

I've known Tim for years and he'd be great - here's a short clip from him:

I've listened to this lovely record a hundred times but today was the first time since I learned that 'Reading' in the title is a pun and refers to the town.

Thames Labour Councillors, Adele Barnett-Ward and I, were out speaking with residents in Lower Caversham this afternoon. People were concerned about how recent floods affected properties in the area. Please get in touch if you were affected too.

The only European states which are not signatories to the ECHR are Belarus and Russia. That's the club that the Tories and Reform would have us join.

I was pleased to speak in favour of granting permission for the exciting new arts venue at the Hexagon. It will hopefully be a focus for the regeneration of the area. The design complements the dramatic and iconic design of the Hexagon of which I happen to be a fan.

Light at the end of the tunnel, perhaps. A letter of intent is a commitment so it's a commitment to a commitment at least.
