Meet Sooty a feral cat that lives in #Durham . DCI Lawson collected Sooty & with the help of his adopted humans he was placed in a basket. He was wrapped in a towel & the wound was cleaned. After antibiotic & pain relief its looking as though he will make a full recovery! (52)

ARO Jess attended a goose yesterday who had been swept into a basin,with fast flowing water &no way to get out the poor goose was exhausted.The amazing Greater Manchester Fire & Rescue Service attended &managed to safely retrieve him, he had a rest in the van&then was released in situ on the canal🥰 (72)

Water trained officers in #Burnley rescued a mallard duck today who had got himself caught up in discarded fishing line and netting, he was stuck in bushes becoming distressed. Officers were able to cut him free and release back to the water unharmed 🥰 RSPCA (England & Wales) (72)

Officers in #manchester responded to an emergency rescue today, it was a goose with a large dog chain stuck around its neck, the chain was causing the goose to be pulled under water. Water trained officers swiftly rescued the goose& released again with no injuries 🎉 (72)

Huge thank you to Louth Fire Station and Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue for assisting Insp Laura and ARO Karen this morning to rescue this muntjac deer 🦌 that was wedged between two walls.
