In this case, the source is IDF, but the info is being laundered through a Muslim woman, seemingly to make it look like she has independently verified the information (she hasn’t) and to make it look like the info is coming from someone sympathetic to Palestinians (she’s not).

This is a good thread breaking down a case of information laundering — a tactic that is used to obscure the source of information in order to make it seem more credible or give it the appearance of being independently sourced, when really it’s all coming from a single source.

Researchers figured out how to bypass ChatGPT’s privacy safeguards and got it to extract personal information including email addresses, raising concerns about the potential for ChatGPT and similar tools to reveal much more sensitive data if exploited.
