The Rangers team locker at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown, NY. That’s Adolis Garcia’s jersey from Game 1 of the 2023 World Series when he had the game-winning walk-off homer. The other jersey is Michael Young’s from 2000th hit game in 2011.

It was 40 years ago tonight that Georgetown took the NCAA men’s basketball title with a 84-75 win over Houston at the Kingdome. I had the honor of doing the radio call of that game with Rich Chvotkin, still at the mike after 50 seasons. I was allowed to miss opening day in Baltimore!

I had the privilege of working with Larry Lucchino in both Baltimore and Boston during my career. He was a visionary who made an indelible impact on the Orioles, Padres, and Red Sox organizations. The game has lost a true legend. I send my thoughts and prayers to his family. RIP.

This morning, I presented a 2023 World Series Championship ring to National Baseball Hall of Fame President Josh Rawitch in Cooperstown. The ring will be added to the permanent World Series ring collection in the HOF’s museum gallery. It’s a great addition to the exhibit!

Longtime Rangers fan Cal Kost, an usher for more than 30 years at two Arlington ballparks, had the honor of raising the World Series Championship flag before this afternoon’s Cactus League opener at Surprise Stadium. A lot of fans from Texas here today!
