I say this as a future school leader with a Masters in school leadership. How can I walk into a teacher’s room and help them if I don’t have data about where they’re starting and where they’re going? How can I help grow them if I dunno what they’re doing?

Idk if the lack of community care in our culture is more evident than when moms casually say they daydream about being hospitalized for something only moderately serious so that they are forced to not have any responsibilities for like 3 days.

One of the things about “just Google it” or “do your own research” (no shade or shaming anyone, I’ve done it often) is that the lack of media literacy means people don’t have fully developed research skills nor the practiced discernment to separate out quality information.
