In our Spark! Book Club, we enjoyed finishing our first graphic novel, Peanut, Butter and Crackers: Puppy Problems before discussing what we enjoyed about the story such as how the illustrations captured the character’s personalities & how funny the story was.

It's so important that all staff working with young children also have the opportunity to learn about the importance of reading for pleasure. Yesterday I worked with students studying Early Years and Childcare on their knowledge of books and what makes a good read aloud.

Many thanks to Caroline ReadingZone.com and author Iona Rangeley for a fantastic author zoom meeting today . One of the group wa so inspired that she had the book cover and blurb for her own story done by hometime ! Reading at LLP We love our VIP author meetings !

Having a wonderful day with Early Years and Childcare students at Hugh Baird College exploring the wide range of books available for 0-5. Lots of book talk, engagement and fun in the morning session. Looking forward to the next group!
