Reading the replies to Steve’s tweet - from actual teachers - as a Muslim and a parent, is horrifying.

People presenting themselves as champions of inclusivity whilst refusing to listen to the voices of marginalised students.

Horrified that there are people who hold these views in our schools, in contact with Muslim students. They know full well that schools are not secular, but push this line to justify the marginalisation of Muslim students.

How many of us does this resonate with?

The level of openly proud hate against Muslims in the UK right now is shocking. Islamophobia is so mainstream, so applauded and encouraged it turns my stomach. Love to all Muslim friends and followers, I’m sorry you’re being subjected to this hate.
