The first section of the Renfrew Bridge has arrived.

It is the first opening road bridge over the Clyde and will connect Renfrew with Yoker and Clydebank.

It will open up opportunities for work, business, health and leisure on both sides of the river.

A new World Athletics standard running track will be installed at Linwood's On-X.

Brediland Primary School got a positive inspection from Education Scotland.

Head teacher Marie-Claire Temple said one of the key highlights from the report was the sense of pride and belonging the school feel, and the focus on building strong, trusting and nurturing relationships.

Hundreds of kids aged 5–14 enjoyed their time at our school holiday camps provided by Street Stuff and our community learning and development team.

Activities included a mix of sports and dance, and everyone who attended got a free healthy lunch.

Paisley Halloween Festival has been shortlisted for an E Award.

The event is up for Best Large Festival at the industry leading awards which take place at the O2 in Edinburgh on 26 April.

Last year’s festival brought in over 50,000 visitors and had an economic impact of £1.5m.

We’re looking for volunteers for a new Environmental Community Taskforce to help protect Renfrewshire’s riverbank habitats.

Volunteers will work alongside our Biodiversity Officers to help tackle the damaging effects of non-native plants on riverbanks.
