Military families have told HASC that they have had to rely on food banks and programs like SNAP and WIC to afford food.

This is unacceptable.

The FY25 #NDAA will require DOD to reevaluate the Basic Allowance for Subsistence and will expand access to the Basic Needs Allowance.

Access to reliable childcare is vital for military families.

The FY25 #NDAA will fully fund fee assistance programs for military families and will mitigate childcare staffing shortages through competitive pay and improving benefits for staff.

Working forests are healthy forests. My bill, The Locally Led Restoration Act, requires timber stewardship contracts with the Forest Service to contain 10% salvage to ensure fire fuel materials will be removed from our forest. #ArborDay 🌲

Remember this Arbor Day that a healthy forest should have somewhere between 50-80 trees per acre. In Colorado, our forests are between 250-300 trees per acre.
