Had a great meeting with the Louisiana Fire Chiefs earlier this week. We discussed critical fire & emergency matters impacting Louisiana's brave first responders, and ways that we can help. Our communities are lucky to have such a dedicated & courageous group of first responders.

The Department of Interior oversees our energy production, but the Secretary of Interior – after 3.5 years on the job – couldn't answer a basic question about energy production timing.

Perhaps this explains ridiculous energy prices.

PROTECT grants are meant increase resiliency in transportation infrastructure. Louisiana experiences the worst & most frequent natural disasters, & needs these investments the most – yet was awarded nothing by the Biden Admin. IIJA has been nothing short of a disaster for LA.

Had a great visit with members of the LRA today. The restaurant industry is one of the largest employers and drivers of Louisiana’s economy, and restaurants are some of the staples and great small businesses in our communities.

Today's the day! Louisiana's private recreational red snapper season has officially begun.

The season will run seven days a week with a daily bag limit of four fish per person and a 16-inch total minimum length limit.

It was great to visit with local Louisiana members of Alzheimer’s Association LA today in Washington, D.C. These meetings help equip us with information about the unique challenges of Alzheimer’s and Dementia and what’s needed to represent our district’s diverse groups and concerns.

Assumption Police Jury members Leroy Blanchard, Ron Alcorn, Myron Matherne and Jamie Ponville (not pictured) are working on many drainage projects in the parish. We discussed ways to help, and we look forward to our continued work together to tackle Assumption Parish priorities.
