One of the biggest #Songkran waterfights in #Bangkok will take place along Silom Road from 13-14 April, 2:00pm-8:00pm. The road will be completely closed during this time and you are advised to go by MRT or Skytrain.

😷 Interestingly, the air quality in Bangkok is now far worse than in Chiang Mai. Maybe some of the storms they had there put out the fires.

😷 This is the air quality in Northern #Thailand this morning. Are you sure you want to spend the #Songkran festival there? My best advice is to head south to the beaches instead. If your journey is really necessary, then stay indoors or wear a mask if you need to go outside.

Today, Chiang Mai is again listed by IQAir as the No. 1 “most polluted major city” in the world. This front page story in the Bangkok Post ⤵️ links bad air quality there to an increase in lung cancer. If your journey to the north is absolutely necessary, take high quality masks.
