Android : Derek Chauvin, the police officer who murdered George Floyd, was arrested.

This is not enough. We have much further to go — including swift, independent prosecution conducted by the Attorney General's office.

The fight to dismantle a violent, oppressive system has just begun.…

Twitter Web App : It is 50 years since Labour introduced the #EqualPayAct - a huge step forward for equality and a testament to the women who took strike action for equal pay.

We have a long way to go to get true equality - and we cannot wait another 50 years for that.

Android : South Korea is reimposing some restrictions after recording 79 new positive Coronavirus cases yesterday.

The UK Gov't is pretending it's safe to ease the lockdown when we have EIGHT THOUSAND new cases per day.

Our Government is failing us. Even more lives are going to be lost.

Android : The government must only reopen schools and wider workplaces once it’s safe to do so. With 8,000 new Coronavirus cases every day, that’s clearly not now.

Twitter Media Studio : The Chief Scientific Advisor just said:
▪️54,000 new Coronavirus cases every week
▪️Around 8000 per day
▪️Around 133,000 have Coronavirus
▪️R close to 1

Android : Today's figures show 54,000 new Coronavirus infections per week in England alone.

The Government’s push to open schools and workplaces is totally reckless. It will cost lives.

Android : Under the new track and trace system, many will rightly have to self-isolate for 14 days.

But they'll need economic help when doing so including:

▪️Full statutory sick pay at Real Living Wage levels
▪️Rent suspensions for those affected
▪️Proper support for the self-employed

iPhone : This event was absolutely heart-warming tonight. So many lovely people and inspiring activists in one virtual place. 🙂

Moving, fun, poignant and uplifting!

Big thanks to Crispin Flintoff for organising it!…

Android : When asked about help for families with no recourse to public funds earlier this evening, Boris Johnson said:

“Hang on, why aren’t they eligible for Universal Credit or Employment Support Allowance?”

You know why, Boris #HostileEnvironment #ScrapNRPF

Android : “We have long called for a functional testing and tracing regime as key to safe easing of the lockdown. The government’s decision to abandon contact tracing in mid-March was a huge error leaving a huge gap in our defences against the virus." Jonathan Ashworth…

Twitter Web App : The government is treating people as mugs.

Its rank hypocrisy over the Cummings case means there's now a real danger that it's damaged confidence in its public-health message.
