Relief for #lcfc : as I reported last month they will NOT face points deduction this season in the Champs, even if they are found guilty by a Prem Lg independent commission.

**It’s now clear points deductions can only be applied in the comp in which the alleged breach happened.

Points deductions are here to stay for breaches of financial rules in the Premier League, I’m told. Clubs meeting now to discuss changes to PSR for next season, but the idea of fining clubs who breach is a non-starter.

Kyle Walker set to undergo new scan on his injured hamstring, and he’s now rated 50-50 for the huge game between #mcfc and #afc on Sunday. Initial diagnosis was it’s not too serious, but City monitoring closely.

Testing night for #england again with so many injuries. Toney and Mainoo obviously stood out, and Bowen was hugely impressive, but credit Chilwell too who was excellent defensively and with more game time could be crucial in the Euros.

Kyle Walker’s injury problem isn’t thought to be too serious. A tight hamstring rather than a strain, first diagnosis, but his progress will be monitored. #mcfc hopeful he will be fit to face #afc in this huge Premier League clash on Sunday.

#nffc v unlikely to get additional sanction because of appeal, so considered a free hit. Club and their lawyers are confident they have a strong case. Forest want process concluded asap for clarity for team, and other PL clubs. Appeal hearing within 3 weeks, by April 12 latest.

Both #nffc and #lcfc have issued v strong statements criticising the Premier League, suggesting the rules are unfairly slanted against smaller clubs, and their ambitions to compete with the bigger clubs. PL response would be they only enforce rules voted through by the clubs.
