NEW - After downgrading the BC government credit outlook from stable to negative last week, due to debt/spending, ratings agency Moody's has also downgraded Simon Fraser University.
However, it holds 'stable' for University of British Columbia City of Vancouver TransLink BC and the Municipal Finance Authority of BC.

BCgov statement:
'Providing consulting services on a grant a business is contracted to administer would be a very clear conflict of interest and is prohibited by the provision in the contract.”
Originally, Josie Osborne said conflict was grant-writing on grants administered.

BCgov has released its contract with MNP, in the wake of the CleanBC grant scandal.
It says ANY service by MNP (ie: consulting) that gives the 'reasonable opinion' of conflict is disallowed, not just technical grant writing on grants MNP administers.
