The death of the great pianist Pollini will hopefully send many back to listen to his interpretations of Chopin - the Etudes possibly the greatest interpretation of all.

Interesting how times change opinion - Have just listened to a super concert on BBC4 - two main works Grieg Piano concerto and Rimsky Korsakov Scheherazade. Both favourites - but later in life I do think the Grieg has a depth to it I did not see as a younger person.

Very sad news about the death of David Myers. I once had the pleasure of meeting both at a publisher's party. They were exactly the same as their on screen personas - funny,affable, polite and supremely chatty. Huge condolences to David's family and his lifelong pal Si.
