In chapter 20 of John, John see Jesus as one who recreates the universe gives this power to His apostles, 'Receive the Holy Spirit, if you forgive the sins of any they're forgiven, if you retain any then they're retained. This passage narrates the main message of the Pentecost.

The gospel of Luke 24.13-49. The central message is summarised at the last verse of the narrative. They told.. how the apostles were known to Him in the breaking of the bread and the present narrative meant to describe us how we come to encounter with Christ in the Eucharist.

Luke24.13-49. We may ask ourselves how is it that disciples of Emmaus didn't recognise Jesus when He was walking with them. This is the basic two things to recognise Jesus, first a gesture on His part, then a positive response from us. This trigger the action which we call Faith.
