Cheltenham is obviously a Liberal Democrats hold as a council as Cheltenham Lib Dems romp home in seat after seat. General election will be a tougher proposition altogether but it’s still good news for Max Wilkinson who pioneered a lot of the council’s success on climate & environmental policy. 🔶

Lib Dems have beaten the Tories into 3rd across the country. Utterly amazing. This is surely the biggest story of this election. Currently waiting for certain commentators to stop waffling on about those losers at Reform and update their hot takes… 😉

It is time for the BBC to change its stance on promoting Reform and Richard Tice at the expense of Liberal Democrats. Reform won virtually 0 seats, whilst Lib Dems won more seats than the Conservatives. Time we saw less of Reform on the news and Question Time etc. #LocalElection2024

Incidentally, only once before (1996) have the Lib Dems won more seats than the Conservatives at a local elections.

Conservatives are placing in third place for these council elections to the Lib Dems. Ignore the spin, these are very bad results indeed and confirm that the Conservatives are currently heading to a severe defeat.

A great series of results for the Lib Dem’s in Portsmouth. Most of our seats are now Labour facing but Lib Dems won 7 out of 14 seats, Labour 2, Tories 1 and Independents 4. A real vote of confidence in the way we run the city.
