This story has been in my head for days and I am RTing it. As a disabled child I was desperate to 'fit in' and to be 'accepted' in a non-disabled world. Took so many years to unlearn that and feel proud of my disabled identity. Stories like this take me right back to the 1970s.

Understand the arguments for assisted dying - and don't have any religious objections - but I am deeply worried it would be used - indirectly - as a way of managing poverty and a weak economy.
