I'm at the planning stages of an application for ElizabethCassonTrust funding for #doctoral studies.
Any of my #OTTwitter friends who have done this process and fancy giving me any top tips/advice do feel free to be in touch. π
Fantastic to co-deliver lecture on working with individuals experiencing #homelessness with Derby OT graduate Ellie.
Good to have opportunity to consider #homelessness as an emerging area for #OccupationalTherapy in the UK.
Thanks also Nasiba Y Chowdhury for your help with this.
Hope everyone attending The OT Show today has a good time.
I'm looking forward to coming tomorrow π
If you will also be there tomorrow drop me a wave as it's nice to know who I can look forward to seeing.
I regularly #GiveBlood with Give Blood NHS π©Έπ©Ή. I've never considered it as an #occupation in my life before today, but doing it again today during #OTWeek2023 and reflecting further has made me realise it is.
A reminder that #occupation is complex and to #KeepDonating .
A favourite #occupation for me is #photography , particularly #naturephotography .
Since October I've been taking a once a week photo University of Derby to capture the changes of #Autumn .
Today at #OTWeek2023 Wellbeing Wednesday I put my pictures together into a collage. π
Happy times.
Today we have all day well being Wed! Come along and take some time for yourself today :)

It's #OTWeek2023 π
Expect OTs to be shouting loud and proud about #OccupationalTherapy and to be celebrating and sharing all about #occupation and how it influences health and wellbeing.
This short animation is a good introduction. Take a look π
Happy #WorldOccupationalTherapyDay . This year's theme 'Unity through community' shows the #ValueofOT comes from the synthesis of each us being the best we can be, celebrated & supported to be so.
I enjoy being part of Derby OT team.

Started reading Antiracist Occupational Therapy. Brilliant. I have much to learn & am hugely grateful for all those who have contributed to this book & DrLecturerMish PhD π¬π§π³οΈβππ΅πΈππΊ She/Her/Hers for editing. I love the reflective quadrant to conclude each chapter. I will be sharing what I learn with others.
For any Derby OT students who identify as being from an underrepresented group within OT training, do review the information below and consider connecting with Sarah McGinley (she/her) to share your experiences.
1. It's important
2.Sarah McGinley (she/her) is lovely and I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
The completed activity and left overs from the part of today's session which was consolidating knowledge of anatomical terms by dissection of jelly babies.
Thanks again to University of Sunderland Occupational Therapy for the original idea -you'll be pleased to see your inspiration lives on another year.
What does a crochet heart, a game & an origami crane have in common?
They're all the things I got to do today during our new #WellbeingWednesday slot, as well have some lovely occupation focused conversations with students and staff colleagues.
Hope to see you there next week!
