Fifteen female troopers & officers with DPS completed the agency’s first Female Officer Survival School, hosted by Fortis Tactical Systems.

The 3-day course provided them with tools and tactics to help keep them safe on the job.

Troopers, officers and staff from SCDPS joined federal and local partners at White Knoll High School today in Lexington to speak with teens about staying safe during prom season.

On May 10, law enforcement in SC will begin issuing citations for 'squatted' vehicles, which include those with a front or rear fender raised 4 or more inches higher than the other.

The students at WFSH had an eye opening experience. They participated in a round of cornhole and the opportunity to operate SCHP‘s golf cart course. Moreover, the students were able to partake in these activities while wearing the DUI goggles. #ZeroTolerance

Progress on the Carolina Crossroads Project is moving along as SCDOT works to build a bridge over I-126 just east of the I-26 interchange near Columbia. Crews will continue to work at night this weekend, which may cause intermittent stops in traffic in the evenings and overnight.

**FATAL HIT-AND-RUN IN COLLETON COUNTY**

The SC Highway Patrol needs your help regarding a fatal hit-and-run in Colleton County. The collision happened at approximately 3 p.m. on April 3.
