The Museum recently acquired a cockpit of this type of aircraft, which visitors can sit in and “Fly”. It shares its name with another aircraft in the collection, seen here. Arrrgh matey, what is it?

On this monumental day in space history, the Apollo 12 lunar lander, LM-6, named Intrepid by the flight crew, touched down on the lunar surface!

The Museum remembers internationally known Apollo 8 Commander Frank Borman, distinguished aviator, fighter pilot, test pilot, instructor and NASA astronaut. Borman passed away on February 7, 2023, at the age of 95.

#TBT to 1954 when Richard “Zeke” Cormier was commander of the Navy’s Blue Angels who flew Grumman F9F-8 Cougars at the time. Zeke was a great friend of the Museum, and he donated his Blue Angels flight helmet to us!
