I was warmly received for a series of meetings in Tokyo as we launched #JAPANCARICOM2024 . I had fruitful discussions with the Japan International Cooperation Agency, the Japan-Caribbean Parliamentary Friendship League and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

We reaffirmed our strong partnership & noted mutual priorities, incl. food & nutrition security, climate change, women & youth participation, and the critical Hand-in-Hand Initiative.

His Excellency Anders Bengtcén, Plenipotentiary Representative of Sweden 🇸🇪 to CARICOM presented his letters of credence to me at the Secretariat🇬🇾 on Tuesday 20 March. CARICOM has enjoyed warm relations with the Kingdom of Sweden since 2014.

On Mon 18 Mar I received Dr Manuel Otero, Director General Manuel Otero. We discussed collaboration for rural development, food & nutrition security and building economic resilience for #CARICOM , including through the 25 by 2025 Initiative.
