SIPUs therapy team voluntary litter pick took place today with some patients that volunteered their time.
Everyone who attended stated that they enjoyed getting out in the sunshine, getting their steps in and giving back to the community.

The EID celebrations are in full swing today on SIPU and PICU wards today, organised by the OT team.
Patients and staff commented how much they enjoyed it.
The home made Mango Lassi and curries went down a treat!

Steph the OT on SIPU ward has presented to the therapy team at Ormskirk and Chorley in their monthly team training session.
She focussed on the MOCA assessment and how this benefits patients within the unit. These sessions now run monthly.
Helping to build on knowledge.

Individuals on Scarisbrick ward attended a local art gallery today, for a local photography exhibition.
This was part of the OT re-socialisation group. Which focuses on meaningful activity and maintenance of skills.
It was a great afternoon!

Spooky goings on at Scarisbrick ward today!. Halloween activities are well underway. Pumpkin carving, treat making and Halloween quiz and bingo! Thanks to our wonderful health and well-being and ward team for supporting to make it happen.,👻🎃👻🎃

Gemma our SIPU peer facilitator has been spreading the word about her role, and how she can provide support on the ward.
She has looked at the core principles of Peer support and what's available to support patients post discharge through the trust. This is visable to all.

The OT team on SIPU ward have supported service users to attend the re socialisation group. This is an opportunity to engage in familiar and meaningful activities, that support maintenance of skills whilst in hospital. We attended the local art gallery....along with a cafe visit
