This is a 'sengi' - sometimes referred to as an 'elephant shrew' because of its distinctive long nose!

However, despite their superficial rodent-like appearance, they are in fact more closely related to ELEPHANTS 🐘 than they are to shrews or mice!

He’s been around as long as most can remember & doesn’t want to leave..he knows what’s good for him!

He likes to hang-out in the 🐧 habitat, pinching fish & perching near the water

Much like teachers during the first few days of the summer holiday, #sloths sleep up to 20 hours a day, expending as little energy as possible & moving only when necessary 🦥

This slow pace is linked to their low metabolism meaning they need to eat less fruit & leaves to survive

We aim to inspire #conservation action through supporting educators

We run CPD, teacher training & have launched a PGCert in Conservation & Sustainability Education to help support teachers to provide the best #education to others
