The VRU and the Office of Office of SYPCC attended Barnsley College’s Wellbeing Event. It was fantastic to meet so many staff and students, and great to chat to them about the work we do across South Yorkshire.

The VRU’s next grant round will open for applications from 15th April to midday on 29th April. The Violence Reduction Fund will fund organisations supporting young people aged 4-25. Information on how to apply will be shared in due course.

The VRU popped into Rotherham United Community Trust’s Holiday Camp at Rotherham Leisure Complex. Running across the two weeks of the Easter holidays, the camps bring local young people together for fun, games, swimming, and food.

This week the VRU attended a community fair in Hexthorpe Park alongside colleagues from the Office of the Office of SYPCC and South Yorkshire Police. It was great to see so many people there enjoying the Easter holidays, despite the rainy weather!
