Random weird thought (sorry): I drove past a homeless woman sat by a shop (sadly couldn't stop by her.) She was absolutely stunning. Then I started thinking about how average-looking some wealthy supermodels are; it felt unfair. I put it down to Kismet and just felt sad. Fin.

An excellent article from Matthew Keer & Special Needs Jungle shedding light on SEND funding.

The crux is that despite increased government funding, in real terms it's not leading to greater funding for schools & families due to the way high-needs SEND funding is distributed by LAs

I have a funky Sistema one, as well as a cool Bento Box...but the undeniable truth is that my empty 900ml Tesco ice-cream tub makes THE best lunchbox.

Never become a leader to lead. Become a leader to create change, to solve problems, to improve lives, to develop people, to create positive impact, to challenge inequalities, to fight against injustice, to upset the status quo. But never just to lead.

My favourite vocabulary to teach (or consolidate) with Y11 in the run-up to exams...

1. At this point in the course, I like grouping words in clusters. The primary reason is that clusters of words can allow us to teach students how to make nuanced, deliberate choices...

💭Random thought💭
Does anyone else ever get nostalgia triggered by the simplest of things? Smelt some orange squash my nephew was making; it took me back to being in Y5 Saturday Club making a clock & having my squash at breaktime. Genuinely got me emotional...

I know your uniform isn't perfect because you were up until 2am looking after your siblings, as your ill mum can't&I know you were late this morning because she cried, as there was no food in the house for breakfast.
I'm just being caring when I'm being strict with you!
