Today our Year 13s had their end of Sixth Form leavers celebrations - it was great to see the the friendship groups joining together for some fancy dress fun before their A level exams start next week.

Y8 students decoded DNA and extracted DNA from kiwi fruits in STEM club this week. They had a lot of fun and were very successful. Salesian Fboro STEM

7 May 2024 was the first day that UCAS was open for 2025 applications. Year 12 at Salesian College were able to attend a workshop where they registered for UCAS, as well as exploring degree apprenticeships & MOOC courses, which are examples of independent research and learning.

The RE department wish Year 11 the best of luck for their RE GCSE exam this morning. Over half the year group arrived early for breakfast revision, showing their commitment and drive to succeed.  Good luck boys!

Today was the last full day in school for our Year 11 students as they commence study leave ahead of their GCSE exams. There have been a number of farewell activities, including Mrs Moré cooking a Spanish feast for her students!

We were delighted to welcome Henry Wilkinson, former College Captain 2021-22, to speak about studying Politics / International Relations at university. Henry is in his 2nd year at university & presented an engaging talk about the transition from A Level to degree study.

As part of the Careers Programme, Salesian Inspires, Mrs Longworth, from Philips spoke to Year 9 & Business & Economic students. It was an informative presentation, outlining the history of the company & some of the diverse work they are involved in. Many thanks to Mrs Longworth

Being the official theme for World Earth Day 2024 (22nd April) 'Planet vs Plastics', our Y7 D students were invited to the 'litter picking event' promoted by the School Library during Form Time .
They responded with great enthusiasm and were happy to contribute.

The CAFOD young leaders ‘hire a helper’ for a day campaign got off to a flying start with 100s of students bidding for a helpers at break time. This was followed with a chance to go to early lunch with their helper, a visit to the Sixth Form common room & help in their lessons

An early start for the Group 711 photo. Then into the HCPT Trust Mass in the underground Basilica. The biggest event of the week.

On day 4 of the Lourdes Pilgrimage, some students rejoined their family groups whilst others visited the High Stations of Cross. In the afternoon they attended the Regional Mass for Met Deep South and were joined by the West Indies Group.

Last night the Year 12 students helped by marshalling the torchlit procession through Lourdes.
