If you’re a TAG member & are lucky enough to be working right now, probably the best thing you can do to be strike ready for 2024 negotiations is to start saving NOW. Hopefully we won’t need to strike, but everyone should be financially prepared if we need to pull that trigger.

WGA - everything you're fighting for, TAG needs x 1000...if we get to where you are, I hope you back us up. I was astonished the first time I learned that WGA writers get residuals every time a character they created shows up! TAG writers/board artists don't get any residuals!

Don't forget that we CARRIED THE INDUSTRY during lockdown when nobody could film anything. They owe us big time and continue to act like animation is second tier disposable kids fare instead of the skilled artform (and cash cow for them!!) that it is.

Gentle reminder that TAG’s contract isn’t up til next year and aren’t allowed to strike bc of it. Animation writers get paid 47 cents on the dollar compared to WGA for doing the EXACT same work + No residuals at ALL! When their contract is up, we need to support them too!!

Crossing the picket line and scabbing are two very very different things.

Every day assistants & plenty of other workers have to cross our picket lines to pay their bills, they are not scabs & won’t be barred from future entry to unions unless they do union-covered work.

Animation fans that keep wondering ...The Animation Guild is not able to strike as well at this time. We are legally within our right to picket in solidarity with SAG and WGA(which we've been doing ) but we cannot strike until our contract is up next year in July.
