As todays London Marathon gets underway & #Samaritans is the events charity of the year we have had a seaside stall to celebrate this amazing event and #weymouth town council have lit up the town clock in green

For some this coming weekend will be a weekend for friends and family but for others it will be a long hard weekend we are here for anybody who would like to talk about how they are coping with this weekend 116123

As the long weekend of Easter approaches and you may be feeling lonely and isolated with thoughts running through we are there to listen and to support you 24/7

Understanding how to have a conversation around self harm can be difficult but important to reduce the stigma that can stop people talking about it you can speak to us we are here to listen whatever you are dealing with at the moment #SelfHarmAwarenessDay

Here are a few ideas to start a conversation as small talk can save lives.

sometimes it can be hard to start a conversation but sometimes it is the small talk that can get that conversation going

Here we are at the Dry Dock on Brew Monday lots of tea drunk and conversation had as well. Our prison team was busy to at Portland with the safety team ensuring over 300 staff and prisoners had a cup of tea to raise awareness of Brew Monday

Today is meant to be Blue Monday but any day can be a Blue day so lets have a Brew Monday and join us at the Dry Dock in Weymouth Town Centre we are there until 1pm look forward to seeing you there

As it is Brew Monday next week we will be based in the Dry Dock in Weymouth town centre from 9.30 - 1pm we will have our usual publicity stall, volunteers will be handing out Samaritan tea bags and will be there to listen look forward to seeing you there

As 2024 begins it may be that you aren't looking forward to it and know you have further hills to climb please remember we will climb them with you when you talk to us about your emotional health it is okay to pause and take a breath before you go on

This time between Christmas and the New Year starting can be a bit of an anticlimax and confusing time we are here if you would like to talk through all those thoughts and feelings as they whizz around in your head

Yesterday we held our last tin rattle of the year at Tesco in Dorchester at the end of the day we raised over £510 Thanks go to Judith who organises the tin rattles all through the year You are a star

If you have mixed feeling about this time of year our volunteers are there all over the Christmas period and will listen to how this time is for you

It was so good to be at Asda on Thursday thank you to all who contributed to our collection buckets we managed to speak with some lovely people
