Another reason to profile Neuro-onc patients at diagnosis. RNA fusion panel should always be alongside the DNA component for finding targets.
BRAF fusions are increasingly being targeted in early phase trials. Great to see this break into the standard of care for #braincancer
So happy to finally share! Amazing project and amazing team behind this! Here's to the next steps - translating it into the clinic to really help patients get a quicker diagnosis. Recent slew of nature papers all using CAR-T in #glioblastoma . Very mixed results - a few patients with objective responses here, even a CR, but most SD or worse.
More needs to be learned here; what makes some respond and others don't?

Great example of making treatment work for patients and sustaining QoL. Fewer symptoms, fewer dose changes, low intensity intervention, at low cost.
People prescribing #Capecitabine should give this a go.
Great first day at #ESMOTAT24 ESMO - Eur. Oncology with fascinating important talks, new friends and a poster prize to top it off!
Looking forward to what the rest of the meeting brings π
Very proud of our work being poster-presented at #ESMOTAT24 by my friend and collaborator Sarah Rae tomorrow!

Insane to see such a high TMB (>400!), let alone in such a rare cancer. It's hard to speculate the value of #immunotherapy from n=1, but continuous response on treatment is positive.
Again proves the value of #genomics testing in #braincancer

Happy New Badge Day π
I'm thrilled to start at Peter Mac as a Neuro-oncology fellow and research collaborator in the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute.
Thank you Peter Mac Cancer Centre BrainCancerCentre WEHI (Walter and Eliza Hall Institute) and most importantly Jim Whittle for the opportunity.
Let's get to work.
It was exciting to be a part of #JING last year, and meet the engaged and passionate #CancerResearch community.
I would love to contribute to something as important and training the next generation later in my career.
Thanks for growing the skillset! ECMC Network
