Washington got more for Howell... Damn that's brutal for Bears fans

r/Seahawks gets the Sam Howell trade:

1. Helps with cap space
2. Fills a need (yes, backup QB is a need without Drew Lock)
3. Gives you upside

Note: I think the draft comp is closer to a 4th round in value, but these points still hold

1. Good backups are expensive in cap space. Howell costs $1M APY. A guy like Drew Lock or Mariota is $5M

2. You didn't 'lose' a 3rd. You moved down one round to the 4th and one round to the 6th from the 5th

This move gets you a backup QB saving you $4M+ APY and gives you upside

I like Sam Howell. Has a future as a high quality back-up at a min and showed flashes of upside. Hopefully he can keep developing behind Geno.

Honestly good move for both #Seahawks and #Commanders . Howell is a (very) cheap backup at worst + WAS is drafting his replacement.

Season should start after a holiday weekend (Labor Day) and have the Super Bowl during another holiday weekend (President's day).

What an ending to the Super Bowl... The second half of this game was so good. Super entertaining finish

Out of the OC options left, Kliff is at least intriguing seeing him paired with another top drafted QB.

Seems like the main criticisms are:
- bad at sequencing plays
- called too many screens
- forced Kyler to play hero ball too much and create on his own
